Credit card, always. To me, it is safer and more convenient than cash. We always pay the full balance off each month, so, no debt. Not spending above your means is the key to not getting into debt.

It depends on the purchase. If I want to purchase something online, which I rarely do, I use them. Also for big purchases, because it’s not good to have huge wads of cash on you. But the balance is always paid at the end of the month, so sometimes we save if we plan to make a big purchase on credit. Credit cards are great for things like that and traveling too, but people have to realize that it must be paid back and with interest. It’s not free money. When responsibly used, they can be a great tool- especially for building credit up!
